The Acting Center presents 8-week Actors Workshop with Guest Instructor Ronald Rand

Mr. Rand is an actor and adjunct professor and guest teacher at over 75 theaters, universities, colleges, festivals, and acting schools across America, and around the world. His ability to simplify the actor’s process and really bring the best out of any student is remarkable. He is an active teacher who involves his students in a safe and fun atmosphere designed for learning. Dive into this workshop from any acting level, beginners to advanced are welcome and encouraged to attend.

When:  Begins Monday June 18th 7:00pm and runs for 8 Mondays, through August 6

Cost:      $150 BUT only $125 for Knifves Members who register by June 16th

For 12 years, Mr. Rand has performed his acclaimed solo play LET IT BE ART! as Harold Clurman.  It has been staged on 5 continents, in 16 countries, including London, Paris, Athens, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Bangkok, New Delhi, Tbilisi, Mumbai, Frankfurt, Zagreb, Vologda, Harare, Paysundu, Morocco, and 16 states across America. Upcoming performances are scheduled in Mozambique, Kenya, Singapore, Cambodia, Washington, Kentucky, Indiana.

His many Off-Broadway appearances include Julius Caesar at BAM with Richard Dreyfuss; as Hamm in Endgame, directed by Joseph Chaikin;, Servant of Two Masters directed by Stuart Vaughan;  and opposite Marian Seldes, Rosemary Harris and Elizabeth Ashley in The Scheuer Series.  Mr. Rand toured throughout Europe as the Fool in King Lear.  He has appeared over a 150 films and TV shows, including Emperor’s Club, In & Out, Quiz Show, O’Keefe and Steiglitz opposite Christopher Plummer, Homeless with Yoko Ono, Law & Order, and Saturday Night Live.  As a playwright, his plays include IBSEN, A System of Government; and The Group!  He also co-wrote the screenplay for the upcoming feature film, THE GROUP with renowned filmmaker, Joan Micklin Silver.

He is the founder & publisher of “The Soul of the American Actor, the only newspaper in America dedicated to the art of the theatre (12th year).  Mr. Rand’s mentors include many years with Stella Adler, Harold Clurman, Jerzy Grotowski, Joseph Chaikin, and Bobby Lewis. His best-selling book, “Acting Teachers of America” is the most comprehensive book published on acting teachers in America.
